日常の中で、風景の一部として見過ごされがちな「カラーコーン®」。その円錐形のオブジェクトは、道路や工事現場、駐車場やイベント会場など、暮らしの中のさまざまな場面で、安全確保・立ち入り禁止・車や歩行者の誘導など大切な役目を担っています。
本展は、カラーコーンマニア歴13年のおかだゆか氏と共に、実は私たちのそばにいつもいるカラーコーンについて、実用やデザイン、路上観察、カラーコーンを通した街と人との関係性や繋がりなど、多角的に掘り下げます。そして、それらをきっかけに “日常探検” することの楽しさを提案する展覧会です。
おかだ氏が路上で撮影した数多のカラーコーン写真、アート作品、カラーコーンの製造方法や見分け方ガイドなどを展示し、なんでもない日常を味わい尽くす喜び、日常への眼差しや愛を伝えます。

These conical objects play essential roles in a wide range of settings from roads to construction sites, parking lots, and event venues—ensuring safety, restricting access, and guiding vehicles and pedestrians. This exhibition, created in collaboration with everyday-life explorer Yuka Okada, takes a closer look at the traffic cones all around us. It explores the subject from multiple perspectives, including functionality and design, street observation, and the relationships and connections between people and the city as seen through traffic cones. Through this lens, it highlights the fun and joy of “exploring the everyday.”
