世田谷区三軒茶屋にある通称・三角地帯。世田谷通りと玉川通りに挟まれ、細い路地が縦横に入り組むこのエリアには、戦後ヤミ市に端を発するさまざまな世代の店舗が共存しています。
本展は三角地帯をテーマにした来場者参加型の展覧会です。三角地帯のみならず、文化的につながる周辺や関係をふくめた「大三角地帯」として記憶と記録を集めていきます。路地裏のように入り組んだ会場で展示を構成するのは、この地にまつわるあらゆる事象をキーワードで集積した「大三角地帯事典」や、来場者が撮影した写真を会場内にマッピングする「29年後のファウンドフォト」など。ただ、展示開始時点にはいずれも〝完成〟しておらず、会期中の毎週末に実施予定の、各種スタディツアーやワークショップを通して記録された絵や写真、言葉によって更新されていきます。
会場から歩いて60秒の場所にある本物の三角地帯を含め、大三角地帯にまつわる〈語られなかった記憶〉と〈ひらかれなかった記録〉——それらをひもといていくことで、これまでも、これからも営まれていく「生活」のかたちと引き継ぎ方について考えてみましょう。
思い出のお話や写真を集めてます！
本展示では、三角地帯や周辺での思い出のお話や、過去の写真を集めています。
・会場内には思い出や過去のできごとを書いて投書できるポストを用意しています。
・会期中の毎週土曜日、13:00〜18:00にはスタッフが在廊します。地域の写真をお持ちの方はぜひ持参いただき、写真にまつわる記憶をお聞かせください。

Sankaku-Chitai (“triangle area”) is the popular name for a unique area located in the Sangenjaya neighborhood of Setagaya City, Tokyo. Nestled between Setagaya-dori and Tamagawa-dori avenues, it is a dense maze of narrow alleyways with shops from multiple generations, some of whose origins trace back to the postwar black markets.
This exhibition offers a participatory experience for visitors themed on the Sankaku-Chitai area. In addition to the area itself, the exhibition gathers memories and records of the “greater Sankaku-Chitai area,” including the surrounding neighborhoods and related elements with a cultural connection.
Designed to resemble interwoven backstreets, the exhibition space features displays such as the Greater Sankaku-Chitai Encyclopedia, a collection of keywords compiling everything associated with the area, and Found Photos: 29 Years of History, in which photographs taken by visitors are mapped within the space. None of these displays are “complete” at the start of the exhibition. Instead, they will be continuously updated with drawings, photographs, and words recorded through study tours and workshops scheduled to take place every weekend throughout the exhibition period.
The exhibition seeks to uncover the untold memories and unopened records connected to the greater Sankaku-Chitai area, including the real Sankaku-Chitai area just a 60 second walk from the venue. In doing so, it invites visitors to reflect on the past, present, and future forms of everyday life and how those ways of life are passed down through generations.
